I left off with Bill grabbing a little extra snooze time before the day's adventures. I took some pictures of the place, unofficially mapped out the day and generally got ready for a full day. Upon waking Bill, he seem exhausted as he rubbed the sleep from your eyes. I saw this and realize what the man has been though in the last 48 hours.:
A cab ride to the airport, the hassle of checking in, waiting two hours for our flight, an hour and a half flight in a cramped plane, waiting two hours to take an eleven hour with the time change overseas flight, a bus to the train station, a hour train ride to Edinburgh, a cab to our hotel, since it was only eleven AM, we could not check in so we had to wait and walk around the area for two hours, checking in, unpacking, then because of the jet lag, our bodies filled with adrenaline our minds with excitement, we could not sleep, so we went about the day drinking, eating, sightseeing and walking until nine PM when we arrived home. If you got tired and felt like grasping for air reading that sentence you can only imagine what it felt like to our Bill. Needles to say, I mentioned to Bill that it was ok to just take a day and do nothing but rest. I would go out and let him rest and then come back for him at dinner time. I was grateful that Bill was amenable to that idea as he really needed more sleep.
Now back to our regular, schedule programming------- so having made sure he was ok with staying behind to sleep and that tomorrow he would be raring to go----I left him to sleep and began my day.........
