The first late afternoon, early evening we arrived in Orkney and got settled in and headed to the bar. Bill mentions if I minded if we relaxed today but he had one request that the next day we visit thenStones first as it has been his dream for 50 years to see what he has had an affinity for all these years. I said to Bill not only can we see them once, but if you wish to back a on the second day, I am ok with it all.
We start the day, Bill was up from 7:30 straining at the leash. I mention to Bill over breakfast if he would like to break up the Stone Circles and see one today, do other things and see another tomorrow? He said, NO, I want to see both today. I smiled like a man who knows something is going to happen his partner does not. Off we go to visit the Stones of Stennness...
